Dallas Cup and GG8 Sports Announce Three Year Partnership

Dallas, TX, USA

Golden Gate Sports and Dallas Cup are excited to announce a newfound partnership beginning at the 2022 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola and the 2022 Dallas Cup Girls’ Invitational presented by Mary Kay. Dallas Cup has been and continues to be about excellence and quality. That focus is reflected in the global teams and officials participating each year in the prestigious events. Dallas Cup has partnered with Golden Gate Sports (GG8) to offer professional-level data insights to its competing teams to expand the value provided to its participants.

The 2022 edition of the Dallas Cup will be one of the first youth tournaments in North America to offer world-class AI-generated, deep player-level performance insights that are ordinarily available only to professionals.

Peter Davis, Executive Director of Dallas Cup, Inc., shares his excitement, “We are thrilled to be partnering with GG8 Sports to bring this level of sophistication and fun to our participants and fans worldwide. As a leading youth soccer property in North America, we are always looking for opportunities to improve our tournament experience, and this should be a fantastic way to deliver on that goal.” GG8 Pro Level services will be provided to all 19U Gordon Jago Super Group participants.

This year, Dallas Cup runs from April 9 through April 17 in the Greater Dallas area, playing games at Toyota Stadium (home of MLS side FC Dallas), historic Cotton Bowl Stadium, MoneyGram Soccer Park, Toyota Soccer Center, and the Classic League Soccer Complex at Richland College. Hosting 12U-19U boys and 15U-19U girls, this famed international youth soccer invitational is dedicated to elite competition, diversity & inclusion, and community engagement.

“GG8 is thrilled to be able to showcase the value and fun we offer with the best level of competition. Being a Frisco, Texas-based international company, we know all about Dallas Cup and are honoured to contribute to a global competition right in our backyard,” shares GG8 Sports, Americas CEO, Craig Pettigrew. “Dallas Cup and GG8 Sports are excited about this newfound partnership. We look forward to the 2022 experience and to working together to ‘transform youth sports with world-class data’ in the many years to come.” The new partnership runs for three years including 2022, 2023, and 2024 expanding in scope each year.

About GG8 Sports:
Golden Gate Sports (GG8) is a global sports data company that uses world-class artificial intelligence to assess youth athletes just like the pros. Athletes and their teams receive an objective evaluation of their skill and performance. Sophisticated AI data software with deep learning algorithms are applied to recorded game footage; no extra equipment is required. The game footage is converted into statistical data points that result in multiple insights for both team and athlete, including a single Player Performance Rating (PPR) number. The PPR and other metrics are added to the GG8 Global Ecosystem, which provides insights into untapped athletic opportunities for the athlete, their team, and evaluators.    www.gg8sports.com
